BUTTERFLY KISSES
Butterfly kisses is a metaphoric piece written for my sister-in-law. She is a breast cancer survivor. Her love for butterflies and my admiration for her courage during her ordeal, inspired me to pen this verse.
As lavender scents perfume the air and silver leaves dance with flair
she gracefully floats upon the breeze playfully soaring with eloquent ease
cloaked in her vibrant colours of light she performs a serene kaleidoscope flight
painting her magic for all down below igniting their spirits with wondrous show
heedless to her enhancement of day she frolics amongst lifes tropical rays
amidst natures fragrant meadows of bloom she drinks of its nectar and then soon resumes
her delicate glide of freedom and light a kiss within memory she fades from my sight

Everyone has a story!
Share it! I've written many poems for people that had a story to tell. Now, I invite others who would like to help turn stories into poems. It's all about people helping people through poetry. It's turning each story into something to remember. It's about feeling good. It's about turning a life event into poetry as a gift from people just like you. It's new! It's free! It's personal! It's a lot of fun!
